Souvenir note 100 Dollar Montana - The Land of the Big Sky

Montana's wilderness is, among other things, the habitat of the grizzly bear. After Alaska, the state is home to the largest population in the USA. Trout are among its favorite prey. This bill from the 50 US states focuses on Montana's nature and its state animals. It is decorated with a grizzly bear, a jumping west slope cutthroat trout, a map of Montana with the abbreviation MT, a pine cone, the state motto "Oro y Plata" (Spanish for "gold and silver") and the year of admission to the union. Due to the vast, untouched nature and the seemingly endless horizon, Montana is also called "Big Sky Country".
