Souvenir note 100 Dollar Tennessee - State of the Volunteers

In 1875, Jack Daniel founded what is now the world's best-selling American whiskey brand in his hometown of Lynchburg. Legend has it that he died of blood poisoning after he forgot the combination to his safe and kicked it in anger. This note from the 50 US states program features Daniel, the lock to his safe, the Nashville skyline with the John Seigenthaler Bridge, a Gibson Les Paul guitar, an outline of Tennessee, the state motto "Agriculture and Commerce" and the year of its admission to the union. Tennessee is also called the "Volunteer State" because of its high level of readiness for military service in the War of 1812.
