Souvenir note 100 Dollar Washington - The evergreen state

In 1916, William Edward Boeing and Conrad Westervelt built their first airplane in a boathouse on Lake Union, founding the Boeing Company - the USA's largest exporter. In 1928, Boeing's first airplane designed purely for the transport of passengers took off with the Model 80. This note from the 50 U.S. states program features a portrait of Boeing, the Seattle skyline with the "Space Needle" observation tower, drawings of the Boeing Model 80 and the "King Street Station" train station, the state motto "Alki" (Chinook for "someday") and the year of admission to the union. Thanks to its large coniferous forests, Washington is also called "The Evergreen State."
